In the General Archives of the State – Archives of the Prefecture of Rodopi, archives and collections related to the modern history of the Rhodope region as well as the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace in general and cover the period 1909 – 2012 are kept.

These files can be imprinted on a wide range of substrates, i.e. they can be loose documents, handwritten books, photographs, in electronic form or even audio-visual files (magnetic tapes, reels, etc.) according to the evolution of technology.

The indexes for these files are entered into the archival data management system “Archoemmemorials”

According to the system followed in the General Archives of the State, each file after its entry in the import book is included in the group of archives to which it belongs (special index). The grouping is done with tickets and is theoretical and not natural.
